Study Tour of representatives of the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) to Germany – first stop at Gauff Ingenieure -JBG- and Gauff Rail Engineering in Nuremberg

Nuremberg. The first stop of a weeklong trip to Germany by six representatives of the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) was to Nuremberg. Mr. Peter Smirek (project engineer for airports at Gauff Ingenieure -JBG- Nuremberg) and Mr. Herbert Goth (deputy branch manager of Gauff Ingenieure -JBG- Nuremberg) gave a warm reception in the Nuremberg office to the visiting party despite the rather cold outside temperature. Through a tour around the offices and a presentation, the guests got an insight into the performance of Gauff Consultants.
Afterwards, they visited Nuremberg airport. Since the first service provision for Nuremberg airport about 20 years ago, Gauff Ingenieure -JBG- has worked until now for the airport authority. In particular the construction implementation places high demands as an interruption-free airport operation has to be guaranteed.
Gauff Ingenieure -JBG- was responsible at Nuremberg airport for the general coordination of individual projects, design surveys, development planning for traffic facilities (access roads, highways, storage and parking areas), rain water and waste water disposal, sprinkler pressure lines, drinking water, district heating, gas, power, telecommunication network, rehabilitation of the runway, drainage and a new construction of the taxi way D, covering a total development area of about 280 ha.
During the remaining study tour, the guests from Tanzania are to visit Munich airport as well as the airports in Memmingen, Baden-Baden and Speyer, hopefully with better weather than in Nuremberg.
