Tilo Franz, Managing Director of HC Hamburg-Consult GmbH, a company of the Gauff Consultants, has presented the German S-Bahn-System as the solution for a multi-purpose use of rail infrastructure at the Rail Solutions Asia 2016 in Kuala Lumpur. The study was contracted by CRT, the metro operator in Chongqing / PR China and funded by KfW and could mark the starting point for a new chapter in regional rail transport in China, where the Chinese Railways still maintains its monopoly status. The presentation was well received by a great audience because the introduction of a S-Bahn-System for linking all the statellite cities with the Mega-Cities in China has a enormous potential for the railway supplying industry as well as for potential operators.
